Breaking Spotify
The Task
This Spotify playlist was created by structured randomization in an attempt to provide unique playlists that are completely random, a feature that Spotify does not offer.
The following steps were upheld:
1.Generate 30 random words using an online word generator
2.Type in the word into Spotify
3.Generate a random number between
1-20 with an online random number generator
4.Choose whichever song the random number is and add to a playlist
This was repeated 50 times to create a full experience. This website maps the process of my creation in breaking the Spotify algorithm.
